Ms. GeLuscious™ is always on-the-go, and
knows that there?s no better time to treat her feet than when in
transit! So next time you?re "on-the-fly", simply toss a pair of
GeLuscious Bootys along with your favorite cream, moisturizer or
essential oil into your carry-on. Once the pilot has turned on the
seatbelt sign, give your tootsies a quick massage, making sure to
slather extra cream onto heels and in between toes. Add a few drops
of essential oil (lavender for relaxing,
bergamot for energizing)
and sit back with your favorite magazine or book. By the time you
land, feet will look and feel fantastic. GeLuscious Booties make
it so relaxing to "wing it"!
Did someone say "pamper me?" Although
booking a pedicure at a spa is an indulgence that every one should
take advantage of from time to time, you can treat your hands or
feet at home. Make sure you have the proper tools, which include
a nail brush, pumice stone, cuticle pusher or orange stick, massaging
foot roller or marbles (optional), toenail clippers, emery boards,
toe dividers and a nail buffer. Set aside the time you need to pamper
yourself and go for it following these easy steps.
| Step 1: |
Create the mood: Feeling
fun and flirty? Pop in your favorite dance music; let your
hair down and get wild. Feeling indulgent? To create a spa-like
atmosphere, play a CD of your favorite instrumentals and light
some aromatic candles around the room. |
| Step 2: |
Soak away your day: Fill
your tub or basin with warm water and drop in your favorite
bath salts (Epsom salts will work as well). Add a tablespoon
of your favorite essential oil (invigorating types for the
A.M, relaxing types for the P.M.) and soak for 10-15 minutes.
The salts will soften up dry skin and calluses, while the oil
moisturizes and rejuvenates or relaxes. For an extra treat
put marbles in the bottom of the tub or basin and work that
massage in as well. |
| Step 3: |
Banish the dead (skin and calluses
that is): Massage a body scrub
with either a sugar or salt base into the skin for exfoliation.
Leave on, and use a pumice-like surface to buff calluses and
slough away remaining dead skin cells. Rinse thoroughly with
cool water. |
| Step 4: |
Clip and Curl: Trim
nails, preferably straight across in a square shape to prevent
ingrown nails. Gently push back softened cuticles with an orange
stick. Never cut your cuticles yourself, leave this to the
professionals. File the tips, remembering to file in only one
direction to prevent jagged edges. |
| Step 5: |
Lotions and Potions: Thoroughly
dry hands or feet with a towel even between the digits and
apply your favorite lotion, balm or cream. Massage in long
upward strokes, moving from your digits upward. This will help
keep proper circulation as well. |
| Step 6: |
Color Me Pretty: Finish
with polish. Prior to polish application wrap orange stick
with cotton and dip in non-acetone polish remover. Swipe the
stick over your nails to remove any traces of moisturizer.
Apply a base coat, followed by two coats of your favorite polish,
followed by a top coat. Let your nails dry for at least half
an hour. Rub a little oil into your cuticles and nail beds
to finish the look. Go out and show them off. |
